Pathlore Announces PHOENIX®/PREFERENCE® Mainframe Release 7.9.1

COLUMBUS, Ohio - March 11, 2005 - Pathlore Software Corp. today announced that its new PHOENIX® training system and PREFERENCE® online help and reference system has arrived and is now shipping.

"Release 7.9.1 is a continued demonstration of Pathlore's commitment to ensuring its mainframe customers an ever evolving software product designed to meet their needs," said Rob Perry, Vice President and General Manager of Pathlore's Mainframe Division. "Pathlore is excited about this new release as the primary focus of the development effort has been to focus on customer requested enhancements" continued Perry.

This new release of the Pathlore Mainframe product line provides customers with increased productivity and new enhancements including:

• The "PHOENIX Connector" feature will enable student access to the PHOENIX mainframe courseware via the Pathlore LMS.  When the student exits from a PHOENIX session launched by the LMS, their student information (i.e. scores, course completion status) will be returned directly to the LMS. As part of “PHOENIX Connector”, an additional supervisor facility within PHOENIX has been created to generate and export PHOENIX course description files in an AICC format to the LMS.

• PREFERENCE has been enhanced to extend the 32,767 index terms per file limitation for PREFERENCE Volumes.  Writers are currently limited to defining 32,767 index terms (32k) for terms beginning with any specific character (for example with initial character “a”).  This enhancement allows writers to double the number of index terms (to 64k) beginning with any character.
