S770001
PHOENIX
If the user specifies the GSPITEM control card parameter "REPort=ALL",
then due to a problem with assigning work files GSPITEM may abend
with an S0C6.
S770002
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
Clients using the IDMS interface with IDMS release 14.
The user's terminal-id is being picked up from the wrong location
so it will appear to be a "garbage value".
S770003
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
Clients using the CICS Interface.
When the PRDC transaction is initiated to disable the PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
Global XZCIN Exit Routine, there may be pending help/screen captures
requests. When this is the case, the Global Exit remains Enabled
and the following information message is presented: "GC614
GOALSYS - nnn help transactions in flight after..."
If the user wishes to force the Global XZCIN Exit to be Disabled,
the "OPT=FORCE" option may be used with this PRDC transaction.
This PTF is required to allow the PRDC transaction to recognize
this option.
S770004
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
If the GSPRSEL or GSPPRINT utilities are run with year 2000 data
and DATE= does not specify an "end-date", then all data
with a date greater than 12/31/1999 will be skipped because it
is outside the default date range.
S770005
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
GSPBROS abends with an S0C4.
S770006
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
Clients using the CICS Interface.
The PRDP transaction may abend with an S0C4 if it receives a Common
Area that belongs to the PRDB transaction.
S770007
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
Clients using the CICS Interface.
The PRDP transaction may encounter "AEIV" errors when
the PREFERENCE Help interface is not available.
S770008
PREFERENCE
GOALSYS may ABEND with an S0C4 in CBEDEBUG while producing a DIAGNOSTIC
Dump due to this problem.
S770009
PREFERENCE
Clients using the DB2 External Data Access Feature
The Preference Operating Parameter "DBIISSID=" requires
the DB2 subsystem-id to be 4 positions. With this change the DB2
subsystem-id can be less than 4 positions.
S770010
PRO/PREF
Clients using the CICS Interface with CICS Transaction Isolation
Enabled
PHOENIX and PREFERENCE Help requests may encounter "AEIP"
errors. This PTF will remove the requirement for the transactions
listed below to run with transaction isolation turned off ("ISOLATE(NO)").
S770012
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
When attempting to display, print or export titles containing
the characters x'FC', x'FD' or x'FE' will cause the user's session
to be terminated and create a diagnostic dump.
S770013
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
Clients using IMS or TSO During high activity an IMS or TSO session
may encounter an S0C4 ABEND. This situation may occur when the
session has to wait for a CSA Buffer to become available to complete
its communication to Preference or PHOENIX.
S770015
PREFERENCE
If the client's application screen contains extended field colors
and no extended set attribute colors, then the application screen
colors will not be restored correctly when the user exits from
PREFERENCE.
S770018
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
If while processing a DBUILD request from the Supervisor Menu
a program is found to have a "label out of sequence condition,
then the user may receive the following error message:
GD024 SYSTEM ERROR AT: $gsupr-dbuild-
1- 6
The above message will be accompanied
by the following message written to the log:
GC136 1 X 0 CBESR1DB PSW=
When the user presses the Enter key, they
will be signed off.
S770019
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
GSPBROS can corrupt a roster file when GSPBROS attempts to create
a class which did not previously exist. The utility GSPINTEG detects
the corrupted file and displays the following message:
GB606 DAMAGE DETECTED IN AD-FILE, INVALID FORMAT
S770020
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
When a user receives the following message in the log:
GC136 1 X 0 CBEEDITP PSW=
it may be followed by another message
as follows:
GC136 1 X 0 CBESR021 PSW=
The error in CBEEDITP is generally due to a 3270 emulator product
error. This PTF addresses the problem that may follow in program
CBESR021.
S770021
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
If the CBRCIC program is included in the CICS Shutdown PLT, then
the following error message may be encountered when the CICS region
is shutdown:
@## DFH4200A jobname CEMT
S770022
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
When a user receives the following message in the log:
GS259 GOALSYS - FA MISMATCH ON READ IO, REQUESTED FILE ***
GS259 GOALSYS - ADDRESS=X'********' BUFFER FILE ADDRESS=X'********'.
Followed by
GC150 GOALSYS - DISK ERROR, READ, ******* , CCHHR=****-****-**,
CC=7F,
GC150 GOALSYS - CSW=****** 0C000000, SENSE=0000, CCW=06******
04001000
GC150 GOALSYS - RETRY SCHEDULED
then this may be an indication that this PTF is required.
S770023
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE Clients using the CICS Interface
The PRDB transaction may receive an AEIV Abend in program CBRCIB
due to an invalid Common Area Length being specified on the RETURN.
S770024
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
Writers or authors may receive an 'UNABLE TO EXTEND FILE' or 'UNABLE
TO CREATE FILE' message while attempting to edit items. The writer
or author may be prompted to reassemble the program even though
there is plenty of available space. This problem is known to occur
in PREFERENCE following use of the 'Block Delete' function.
S770026
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
When running the GSPRESTR utility if the GSPTERM file becomes
full before all of the input data has been processed, then GSPRESTR
will go into an infinite loop. With this PTF applied GSPRESTR
will display the following error message when the GSPTERM file
becomes full and then skip to the next file:
GB264A ERROR: INPTERM IS TOO LARGE FOR GSPTERM FILE WILL NOT BE
RESTORED
S770027
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
When using the Supervisor Menu "List File" feature,
the user may encounter the following error:
GD024 SYSTEM ERROR AT: $gsupr-sploop- 1- 2
S770028B
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
If PTF S770028 is applied, you may encounter GC500's because our
cross-region jobname table becomes full. You may also encounter
S602 ABENDs when PHOENIX/PREFERENCE is shutdown. This PTF will
backout S770028. You should then apply PTF S770029 to resolve
the original problem.
S770029
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
This PTF replaces the original S770028
If a CICS region communicating with GOALSYS runs our PHXI or PRDI
multiple times during CICS Shutdown, then the GOALSYS CBETAM task
may ABEND with an S0C1.
Z770001
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
This PTF correctly displays the "PACE Updates" when
viewed from the Supervisor's menu.
Z770003
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
Item copy/move/insert may not function correctly. Complete range
of items may not be copied/moved/inserted. Items map may not display
correctly. Users may encounter GD077 error messages at $gs001
locations. Items in PREFERENCE preface and rules files, and items
in PHOENIX introduction files may be affected.
Z770004
PHOENIX
Administer Course "LAST ALTERATION TO COURSE MATERIAL"
Date displays incorrect year when the last alteration was to edit
positional feedback in a simulation item.
Z770006
PREFERENCE
This zap is to correct a problem found in PREFERENCE rule writing
only.
When writers in option mode of a rule item attempt to insert a
group by specifying the group number after which the insertion
is to occur, the new group appears after the current group. For
example, if the current group is 4 and a writer specifies 'i2'
in the group field, the new group (which should be inserted after
group 2) is inserted after group 4. This PTF corrects the execution
of the group insertion command.
Z770007
PREFERENCE
Prerequisite(s): Z770001
If 'UNABLE TO SAVE ALL INDICES' occurs during steamline import,
the writer is unable to exit from the import without the error
message being displayed for each item in the import range. This
PTF aborts the import upon encountering the 'UNABLE TO SAVE ALL
INDICES' message.
Z770009
PHOENIX
Cursor is returned to the upper left corner of the screen instead
of being restored to original position upon exit from help request
when rule option mode Modify = Y.
Z770015
PREFERENCE
SOC4 occurs when eda vsam file is accessed during test of rules
from within the rules editor and after subsequent attempt to import.
This ptf provides external file DETACH at additional points of
exit from the eda item, including hypertext and external volume
access.
Z770017
PHOENIX
When a class plan is set for the first time by an instructor,
units specified as required or optional will be lost after the
instructor signs off. Required or optional units will not appear
on the units list for students in the class, and upon re-accessing
the class plan option instructors and authors will see no required
or optional units defined. This error is due to programming in
a check on whether the course was authored on a version of Phoenix
prior to 5.0.
