If the client's application screen contains extended field colors
and no extended set attribute colors, then the application screen
colors will not be restored correctly when the user exits from
PREFERENCE.
S780002
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
If while processing a DBUILD request from the Supervisor Menu
a program is found to have a "label out of sequence condition,
then the user may receive the following error message:
GD024 SYSTEM ERROR AT: $gsupr-dbuild-
1- 6
The above message will be accompanied
by the following message written to the log:
GC136 1 X 0 CBESR1DB PSW=
When the user presses the Enter key, they will be signed off.
S780003
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
GSPBROS can corrupt a roster file when GSPBROS attempts to create
a class which did not previously exist. The utility GSPINTEG detects
the corrupted file and displays the following message:
GB606 DAMAGE DETECTED IN AD-FILE, INVALID
FORMAT
S780004
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
When a user receives the following message in the log:
GC136 1 X 0 CBEEDITP PSW=
it may be followed by another message
as follows:
GC136 1 X 0 CBESR021 PSW=
The error in CBEEDITP is generally due
to a 3270 emulator product error. This PTF addresses the problem
that may follow in program CBESR021.
S780005
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
If the CBRCIC program is included in the CICS Shutdown PLT, then
the following error message may be encountered when the CICS region
is shutdown:
@## DFH4200A jobname CEMT
S780006
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
When a user receives the following message in the log:
GS259 GOALSYS - FA MISMATCH ON READ IO, REQUESTED FILE ***
GS259 GOALSYS - ADDRESS=X'********' BUFFER
FILE ADDRESS=X'********'.
Followed by

GC150 GOALSYS - CSW=****** 0C000000, SENSE=0000, CCW=06******
04001000
GC150 GOALSYS - RETRY SCHEDULED
then this may be an indication that this
PTF is required.
S780007
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE Clients using the CICS Interface
The PRDB transaction may receive an AEIV Abend in program CBRCIB
due to an invalid Common Area Length being specified on the RETURN.
S780008
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
Writers or authors may receive an 'UNABLE TO EXTEND FILE' or 'UNABLE
TO CREATE FILE' message while attempting to edit items. The writer
or author may be prompted to reassemble the program even though
there is plenty of available space. This problem is known to occur
in PREFERENCE following use of the 'Block Delete' function.
S780010
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
When running the GSPRESTR utility if the GSPTERM file becomes
full before all of the input data has been processed, then GSPRESTR
will go into an infinite loop. With this PTF applied GSPRESTR
will display the following error message when the GSPTERM file
becomes full and then skip to the next file:
GB264A ERROR: INPTERM IS TOO LARGE FOR
GSPTERM FILE WILL NOT BE RESTORED
S780011
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
When using the Supervisor Menu "List File" feature,
the user may encounter the following error:
GD024 SYSTEM ERROR AT: $gsupr-sploop-
1- 2
S780012B
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
If PTF S780012 is applied, you may encounter GC500's because our
cross-region jobname table becomes full. You may also encounter
S602 ABENDs when PHOENIX/PREFERENCE is shutdown. This PTF will
backout S780012. You should then apply PTF S780013 to resolve
the original problem.
S780013
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
This PTF replaces the original S780012.
If a CICS region communicating with GOALSYS runs our PHXI or PRDI
multiple times during CICS Shutdown, then the GOALSYS CBETAM task
may ABEND with an S0C1.
S780014
PHO/PREF
If you are experiencing CICS Storage Violations due to
an invalid FREEMAIN length for a transaction COMMAREA
after upgrading to CICS TS 3.1, then you may be
experiencing this problem.
S780015
PHO/PREF
Our CICS XZCIN Exit was erroneously detecting that a TCT entry was
flagged as being a "Permanent Transaction Code" due to a change in
the TCT layout with CICS TS 3.1. Since TCT's are generally
auto-installed, it is highly unlikely that "Permanent Transaction
Codes" are used.
This ZAP has been created to eliminate
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE support of "Permanent Transaction Code"
processing and their resultant anomalies. For example, users may be
unable to continue in their application after returning from a help
or screen capture request.
Z780001
PHOENIX
When students are listed by ID or name in the instructor student
status report (option 8 from the instructor menu), input entered
at the prompt on line 24 does not work. Affected input includes
'end', 'quit' and 'class'.
This product update restores the functionality of line 24 field
input when students are listed in the student status report.
Z780002
PHOENIX
When a class plan is set for the first time by an instructor,
units specified as required or optional are lost after the instructor
signs off. When a student signs on, the required or optional units
do not appear on the units list. When the instructor re-accesses
the class plan, no required or optional units are displayed.
This error occurs in programming intended to determine whether
the course was authored on a version of PHOENIX prior to version
5.0.
Z780003
PHOENIX
When a PHOENIX student exits a cmi course in mid-test and returns,
the 'Welcome Back' screen displays a corrupt version of the course
name when the course name is less than 6 characters. The course
name appears duplicated and offset with one of the course names
in upper-case and the other lower-case. This update corrects the
coursename display.
Z780006
PREFERENCE
Preference online export fails on attempt to export text containing
one or more protected invisible symbols. Under this condition
the target dataset member is created but contains no text. The
following PTF corrects export processing of protected invisible
symbols in a manner consistent with export of other attribute
characters.
Z780007
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
Various supervisor editing activities, including signon frame
and notes editing, results in GD024 @ mode-1-15 error message.
This error occurs only when editing facility is accessed through
command line without using supervisor menu mode. This update allows
editing to proceed normally.
Z780009
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
The French and Italian 7.8.0 supervisor main menus display the
incorrect version number '7.7.0'. This error occurs on PHOENIX,
PREFERENCE and mixed systems but does not occur on the English
supervisor menus. This PTF corrects the version display to '7.8.0'.
Z780011
PHOENIX/PREFERENCE
